# Social Media

> Import existing social content and publish AI-generated posts from WisePilot.

The Social Media integration lets you import existing social content into WisePilot for analysis and generate new social posts that you can publish to your connected platforms.

## Connecting a Platform

1. Navigate to **Integrations → Social Media**
2. Select the platform to connect
3. Authenticate with your social account credentials
4. Choose which profiles or pages to link to your WisePilot workspace

## Content Import

Import your existing social content to build a reference library:

* **Historical posts** are imported with their engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, reach)
* Posts are cataloged in your asset registry as social content types
* The AI uses imported content as reference material — it can analyze what's worked before and generate new posts in a similar style

### What Gets Imported

| Data             | Description                                         |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| **Post content** | Text, media attachments, hashtags                   |
| **Engagement**   | Likes, comments, shares, saves (platform-dependent) |
| **Metadata**     | Publish date, platform, post type                   |

## Publishing

Publish AI-generated social content from WisePilot:

1. Generate content using the [Social Content](/content-creation/social-content) tools
2. Review and edit the generated posts in the asset editor
3. From the asset detail view, click **Publish** and select the target platform
4. Choose to publish immediately or schedule for a specific date and time

### Scheduling

Scheduled posts appear on your [Content Calendar](/planning/content-calendar) alongside other content. You can see your full publishing schedule across all content types in one view.

## Tips

* **Import before generating** — The AI produces better social content when it has examples of your brand's social voice to reference
* **Repurpose long-form content** — Use the [AI Chat](/content-creation/ai-chat) to turn a blog post into a LinkedIn thread or a landing page into carousel slides
* **Match hooks to platforms** — A hook that works on LinkedIn (professional, insight-driven) may not work on Twitter (concise, provocative). Let the AI adapt the framing per platform.
