CTAs (Calls to Action) are the conversion elements in your content — buttons, links, and forms that drive the next step. WisePilot tracks CTA performance end-to-end from view through click to form submission.

Creating CTAs

Navigate to Production → CTAs to manage your CTA library. Each CTA includes:
  • Headline and subheadline — The copy above the button
  • Button text — The action label (e.g., “Start Free Trial”, “Book a Demo”)
  • Destination URL — Where the CTA links to
  • Position — Where it appears on the page (above the fold, exit, footer, sidebar)
  • UTM parameters — Source, medium, campaign, content, and term tags
  • CTA ID — A unique identifier for tracking (auto-generated)

CTA Positions

WisePilot supports four standard CTA positions per page:
PositionCodeTypical Placement
Above the foldabtfHero section or top banner
Exit intentexitTriggered on page exit
FooterfooterBottom of content area
SidebarsidebarPersistent side panel
Each position has its own set of fields (headline, button text, image, UTMs) for per-position customization.

Attribution Tracking

Every CTA gets a unique cta_id that flows through the attribution pipeline:
  1. CTA is rendered with data-cta-id attribute
  2. Attribution script appends cr_attrib to the CTA’s destination URL
  3. GTM captures CTA views and clicks
  4. HighLevel form submission includes the cr_attrib from the URL
  5. The system links the form submission back to the specific CTA and content asset
See Attribution for details on the full tracking pipeline.

Performance

CTA performance data is available in the CTA Performance Report, showing view-to-click rates, click-to-conversion rates, and revenue attribution per CTA.
