How It Works
WisePilot uses DataForSEO to check your Google Maps ranking at 81 points (9x9 grid) spread across a 25-mile radius around your business. For each point, it records your position in the map pack (1-20) or marks you as not found. Scans run weekly for each tracked keyword via thegbp-visibility-scanner runner.
Reading the Heatmap
- Green cells — You rank in positions 1-3 (top of map pack)
- Yellow cells — You rank in positions 4-10 (visible but not dominant)
- Red cells — You rank in positions 11-20 (low visibility)
- Gray cells — Not found in the top 20 results at that location
